This recording was made by her daughter when Hope was in her late seventies, long after she had retired from her professional career and long after the thyroid surgery that stole the range and affected the timbre of her voice. It was not intended to represent Hope for posterity, nor is the quality of the recording at a level she would have preferred, but it is the only recording that survives. We offer it as a way of sharing a hint of the beauty she brought to our lives.
